As part of a program aimed at the social reintegration of inmates, I discussed the AI4AL platform with them to support their skills assessment and preparation for life after release. The program was structured to help inmates understand that, through the application, they can develop soft skills and identify professional fields where they could work after their release.
The AI4AL platform was demonstrated to help inmates assess their existing skills and improve the skills needed for the labor market. In this context, education was crucial in providing inmates with real opportunities for reintegration.
I used the platform to help the inmates understand how they can create personalized profiles, including both technical skills and soft skills, which are essential for professional integration. In the group session, we discussed their skills and the fields in which they could work after release.
I took advantage of the organized meeting to offer job recommendations and discuss the requirements of the labor market. Additionally, I organized interview simulations to prepare the inmates for meetings with potential employers.
One of the most valuable lessons was that the inmates became much more aware of their skills and the opportunities available in the labor market. I also learned that in order for them to succeed in their reintegration, we need to provide an educational framework that includes both the development of professional skills and the development of communication and collaboration skills.

The AI4AL platform had a significant impact on the inmates, providing them with greater clarity about the opportunity to identify and describe their skills and potential careers. This approach was essential in their social and professional reintegration process.
