In Romania, career retraining represents a significant challenge, especially in the context of economic transformations and the loss of jobs in traditional sectors. This phenomenon particularly affects adults who have been forced to quickly adapt to the demands of an ever-changing labor market. The Matching Tool project provides an innovative solution to these challenges, being a versatile tool that can be used in both urban and rural areas. The main goal of using this tool is to identify and capitalize on users' transferable skills, providing them with access to relevant training and employment opportunities, tailored to their individual needs and the current demands of the market.
The Matching Tool application facilitates the career retraining process through an intuitive, user-oriented approach. Participants can assess their current skills by filling in the required information directly within the app. Based on this data, the app’s algorithm generates personalized recommendations, including relevant professional training courses and suitable job offers. This process allows users to clearly visualize the next steps for developing their career and accessing opportunities in new fields.
The project revealed several important lessons:
Did it make your job easier? 4/5
Did it help you work faster? 5/5
Did it let you be more effective? 5/5
This project could be expanded nationally to support career retraining programs and the transition to jobs in emerging sectors, such as IT or services.
